Hanger is a well-known secret of canny shoppers on the Kapiti Coast. Busy women without the time to sort through endless bins at charity shops, really appreciate the great range of top quality clothing at budget prices.
Bargain hunters from Wellington are also beginning to discover that Hanger is a great place to stop, either before/after a trip north to the popular retail outlets of Otaki, or as part of a trip to the beautiful Kapiti Coast.
The store is located in the Kapiti Lights Complex, just south of the traffic lights at Paraparaumu.

Hanger is the brainchild of proprietor Marita Sparrow. When Marita returned from eight years living abroad (mostly spent in London), she was frustrated that there were no shops on the Kapiti Coast selling high quality recycled clothing.
Ever the entrepreneur, Marita started Hanger and now business is booming.
“Personally I don’t like pushy salespeople, I prefer to let people wander into the shop and have a good look for themselves, if they want assistance I am always happy to help.”
